⛔ "When you think of trafficking, you think when you don't know anything about it you think this is happening in other countries, definitely not in your community," Camila Jimenez, program manager of PLEA Community Services from Canada tells about her first reaction to the problem. She kindly agreed to be interviewed specifically for the Creative Society Project.
When Camila found out that child sex slavery took place in her town, and her neighborhood, it became difficult to stay away. As long as we live in a society where children are very vulnerable, and where human rights are not protected at all, the activities of organizations engaged in the protection of child rights is very important.
🔆 "If we lived in a society that was completely equal and no one was needing that shelter, that there weren't those needs, we'd be looking at something different," believes Kamila. Now we have a real chance to build such a society!
