Hello. I'm Jeff Monson. I'm very excited to be at this Forum. Because I have a lot to say and I feel very strongly about the advocates of this Forum and what it stands for.
So the first thing I want to say is that in this political climate now, when we're having war, when we're having global warming, we're having conflicts, we're having problems with people being traded as slaves or as sex slaves, and people living in poverty still and sanctions.
And there's many, many terrible things you can read about in the news every day or watch on TV, like, “The world is terrible. The world is terrible.” But I want to emphasize that there are many, many people who are pushing for a better world and a better world is possible.
And the main idea of this is it starts with us. We can't rely on governments. We can't... We've been relying on government since the beginning of time, since the feudal system with kings, since capitalism with the free markets, with elections, with democracy, of voting for presidents and representatives in Congress and Duma members to try to fix things.
When you participate in the world, when everybody has equality, when you can look at somebody on the street and know that they enjoy the same freedoms as you, and they have the same opportunities as you, and they're participating in the world as you -- I don't think there's any greater joy as a human being than this.
It’s like everybody in the world shares this same feeling of unity within ourselves, within the human race, within...
We're all people. We're all one. Like I said, we all want the same thing. So why can we not work together?
We're intelligent. We can send people into space. We can make these crazy weapons that can destroy the world, we have all this stuff. If we can do this, then we can have a system where we have unity and peace and where we're all working together. This is our last chance to come together. So we're going to come together.
And, right now, we can choose to come together or we're going to be forced to come together because... Because we're in a system where either war or climate change has forced us to understand that we're not going to survive as a species unless we come together.
But right now, it's our last chance to do this, like, willingly, without any environmental influence that’s coming to hit you, without our imminent destruction.
So, guys, tell your neighbors, tell your friends, tell them that you want to make a change and that you're willing to make a change, and that you're... you want them to make a change with you, whether you know them or you don't know them.
Guys, this is such an opportunity. I'm so excited you've been talking about it. I just imagine outside walking and meeting people and talking to people, and traveling, and seeing people that all want this -- like, this humanity to join together and for something better that includes every single person on Earth.
Imagine whether you're disabled or black or white or woman or a man or child or elderly or whatever your profession, like, joining together for the same purpose. And that's the betterment of society.
