We've Seen Wars Everywhere

We have seen our freedom taken away from us and we can imagine anything by that because regardless of a pandemic, any war... we cannot have free energy, although there are already many such technologies; we cannot have water available anywhere on the planet, although new technologies make it possible; we cannot live in a clean environment, although technologies allow us to dispose of all our waste, etc. Why have we come to believe that we cannot do all of this?
