DOMINICA
On November 6-7, a downpour lasting more than a day caused flash floods and landslides on Dominica's east coast.
There was at least one casualty as a result of flooding.
The Meteorological Service said rivers could burst their banks and flood adjacent areas.
Rock falls from overhanging cliffs are also possible.
LATAKIA, SYRIA
On November 7, the streets of Latakia (Syria) were flooded after heavy rains.
Nearly three months' worth of rain fell in a matter of hours.
In some areas the water level reached one meter.
According to residents, their "houses were turned into pools.
