Panama Fashion Week | Expo 2020 Dubai

3 December 2021

Panama Fashion Week in Dubai gave an opportunity to get acquainted with the country through fashion as a part of its cultural diversity, showing that fashion unites the world.

The creations of eight Panamanian designers stole the heart of the Middle East in the 'Commercial Fashion Show' organized at the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina on October 21st, 2021.

Beauty and multiplicity of Panamanian culture and traditions have been shown in the creations of designers, in the mixture of colors, textures, fabrics and music, which expressed the unique spirit of the country and its heritage. The works of designers reflected Panama’s nature in the clothes, showing the true essence of beauty, encouraging to take care of the Earth and create sustainable products.

Journalists of the Creative Society project interviewed Denise Guillen, Deputy Minister of Tourism of Panama and Fernando Fondevila, CEO Promtur Panama, Carment Vergara, Executive Director and Panamanian designers Moises Sandoya, Tony Vergara and Yami Campos. Among the questions about culture, designers’ path, creations and fashion have been raised questions about global climate changes, the ideal vision of a society where people can live safely and happily, common values that unite people and what can we give to our future generations.
