Cyclone Mocha: the fight for survival

🌀 Tropical Storm Mocha was a powerful and deadly cyclone in the northern Indian Ocean that affected Myanmar and parts of Bangladesh in May 2023. The Myanmar government announced that Hurricane Mocha k!lled at least 463 people, injured 719 others and left 101 others missing. 

In our new report, an eyewitness and displaced Myanmar survivor of Cyclone Mocha reveals how locals ignored warnings of the impending storm, the horrors of the disaster and the hopeless aftermath of the storm.
