A Week of Global Cataclysms. And One Piece of News That Changes Everything

20 November 2025

A destructive EF-4 tornado, as if straight out of a Hollywood movie, hit the streets of the Brazilian city of Rio Bonito do Iguaçu, becoming the most powerful tornado in Brazil’s recent history. Winds of up to 300 km/h reduced entire neighborhoods to rubble, leaving around 1,000 residents homeless and claiming six lives. “The wind took everything except the will to live,” say local residents as they clear debris alongside volunteers.

But the Brazilian tragedy is just one episode of a global climate crisis that grows stronger every day:
– A fire in Tongariro National Park, where the Lord of the Rings trilogy was filmed, destroyed 2,800 hectares of unique natural landscapes in New Zealand;
– Arctic cold struck the USA: Florida experienced -3°C, and frozen iguanas fell from trees in Miami;
– Canada was hit by a rare early snowstorm not seen there in more than half a century;
– The Sanriku region in Japan experienced a series of 37 earthquakes in just over a day, including three powerful shocks with magnitudes above 6.0;
– Two massive typhoons struck the Philippines consecutively: Kalmaegi claimed 232 lives, and Fung-Wong killed another 25 people;
– Iran is enduring a historic drought: Tehran’s reservoirs are less than 10% full;
– In China, the recently built “Hunzi Cloud Bridge” partially collapsed in Sichuan Province.

All of these events are not coincidences but links in a single chain of global climate change. We see extreme weather events, seismic activity, and natural disasters becoming the norm, and modern technology no longer guarantees safety.

But there is news that gives hope — the ALLATRA Global Research Center is already in operation: an international scientific platform where researchers, free from politics and sponsors, are seeking real solutions to the climate crisis. All data is publicly available. This is a chance to find a way forward.
