💨 PHILIPPINES: Known in the Philippines as Paeng, the storm hit the archipelago on October 28, 2022. The extensive rainfall that accompanied the storm caused flash floods and numerous landslides in the south of the country.
MORE THAN 8,000 PEOPLE HAVE BEEN LEFT HOMELESS
Despite the fact that several thousand people were evacuated in advance from the path of the impending disaster, casualties could not be avoided.
In total, about 185,000 people across the country were affected by the storm, according to authorities. The natural disaster took the lives of more than 40 Filipinos. Dozens are missing.
