As of August 30, drought conditions in the U.S. covered 64% of the area, with 15% of these being extreme and exceptional drought types.

🔥 This drought and increasing wind gusts have caused an unprecedented increase in fires. As of August 30, more than 48,000 fires have been reported: almost 3,000,000 HA BURNED

🔥 The area scorched by fire is steadily increasing, with fires covering up to 200 hectares in an hour. Thousands of people are fleeing their homes in a rush and moving to a safe distance.
