A deadly volcano has woken up in Colombia. Massive floods simultaneously hit all continents

In October, massive floods occurred in 36 countries around the world: they cascaded, washing away everything in their path, causing irreparable damage. A month or more of rain falls in a day, sometimes even in a matter of hours.

In October, floods affected people in Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico and the United States, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines and Australia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Oman and Syria, Spain, Italy, Greece, Georgia, India, China and the Russian Federation.

On October 23, 2021, widespread flooding occurred in the province of West Kalimantan, Indonesia. Due to heavy rain, the Kapuas River overflowed its banks: in some areas the water level reached 2.5 meters. More than 2,500 houses were damaged. More than 8,000 people were affected and about 2,000 people had to be evacuated.

After heavy rain on October 28, 2021, a landslide occurred in another province of Indonesia - Central Kalimantan. Sadly, there were fatalities at a gold mine.

On October 28, 2021, large hail and heavy rains struck some parts of South Australia. The hail became a real disaster for the inhabitants of Australia - the fallen ice floes measuring 16 cm became a record for the country. It is also noted that in recent years, not only the size of hailstones have increased, but also the frequency of their fall. The element caused flooding and destruction around the whole state, and the city of Adelaide was affected most of all.

And on October 31, the Bolivian city of Tarija was hit by a powerful storm with hail. The streets of the city were covered with a thick layer of hail up to 1.5 meters high. The hail damaged houses, cars, and destroyed almost all crops. According to the authorities, about 5 thousand tons of ice were transported from the streets.

On October 28, 2021, lingering rains caused flooding in southwest Scotland. In Dumfries and Galloway counties, river levels rose by almost 3 meters, more than 500 homes and two railroad bridges were damaged by floodwaters. Local residents were evacuated to temporary housing centers.

On October 29, 2021, heavy rains hit the eastern coast of the United States.

This led to localized flooding in Washington, D.C and its surroundings., on the Atlantic coast of Maryland and Virginia. The Potomac River burst its banks. Fortunately, no one was injured.

On the same day in Peru, after heavy rain, there was flash flooding in the city of Jaén in the Cajamarca region. Unfortunately, one human died. A public disaster was declared in the department.

On October 30, in the city of Erbil, Iraq, heavy rains and hail turned into powerful torrents of muddy water that demolished cars, damaged roads, power lines and over 500 homes.

Heavy downpours began in several parts of Sri Lanka in late October. The rains caused floods and landslides. Unfortunately, people died. As of November 3, about 6,000 people were affected.

On November 3, a massive landslide came down in southern Colombia in Nariño, after prolonged heavy rains. Unfortunately, there are dead, injured and missing. Dozens of houses were destroyed.

On October 29, 2021 stratovolcano Nevado del Ruiz was active in Colombia. A column of gas and ash rose 2,500 meters over the mountaintop.

At the end of October, due to the eruption of an underwater volcano, a huge amount of pumice reached the shores of Okinawa and Kagoshima prefectures in Japan. Pumice stone clogged dozens of ports, damaged up to fifty ships and temporarily suspended transport links between the islands of Okinawa and Kyushu.

On October 25, a fire broke out in the Austrian Alps near the Rax Massif. The area covered by the fire had grown to 115 hectares in just 10 hours. Emergency services, including specialized aircraft of neighboring Italy, Germany and Slovakia were involved in extinguishing the fire.

Nothing is more important today than information about how our humanity can survive and save our planet.
