NOVEMBER 22, 2022
🆘 SOLOMON ISLANDS: A powerful earthquake of magnitude 7.0 shook the Solomon Islands.
AT A DEPTH OF ABOUT 13 KM
The epicenter was in the Pacific Ocean near the southwestern coast of the country. A second strong seismic event with a magnitude of 6.0 followed 30 min later.
The tremors caused significant damage to the Australian Embassy, the airport and shopping malls, and caused power outages in places.
NOVEMBER 23, 2022
🔴 TÜRKIYE, DÜZCE: An earthquake of magnitude 5.9, and according to other sources 6.1, occurred in the province of Duzce.
THE HYPOCENTER WAS AT A DEPTH OF ABOUT 10 KM
Dozens of people were hurt. Residents ran out into the street in a panic.
It also became known about the case of injuries as a result of a jump from a height. After the main shock, 70 to 100 aftershocks occurred in the region.
Tremors were felt in a number of other nearby provinces in Türkiye, including Ankara and Istanbul.
👎 Unfortunately, in modern society, the conditions are such that the problem of predicting and eliminating the consequences of dangerous climatic phenomena has been and still remains the most difficult.
