💨 CANADA: Flooding, falling trees and downed power lines affected the country's four Atlantic provinces, as well as Quebec. In a number of areas of Nova Scotia and Newfoundland, a state of emergency was declared and an emergency evacuation of the population was carried out.
MORE THAN 500,000 CANADIANS WERE LEFT WITHOUT ELECTRICITY
The city Canal-Port-aux-Basques was the most affected by the cyclone severity, where waves up to 15 meters high turned into a "pile of rubble" and swept into the ocean at least 20 houses.
According to meteorologists, Fiona was among the most severe storms in the history of Canada.
