🌋 Did you know that there is an active supervolcano in the middle of Europe? Right in its crater is located the picturesque Italian town of Pozzuoli with a population of 80,000 people.
The Campi Flegrei supervolcano, together with the adjacent islands, forms a huge volcanic complex. For 80 thousand years of its existence, there were only two super-eruptions: about 36,000 and about 12,000 years ago. And it seems that in the near future, the supervolcano is also ready to erupt!
📽️ In this video, watch more about:
🔹 What's happening to the volcano right now?
🔹 What is bradyseism and what are the dangers of this process?
🔹 What is the reason for the start of the Campi Flegrei activation?
🔹 What mechanism triggers the eruption of a supervolcano?
Campi Flegrei is the volcano of the cycle, and its explosion, like a detonator, will set off a chain of explosions of all other volcanoes. It will be a catastrophe not only for Italy but for the whole of humanity.
