💥 EARTHQUAKE 06-02-2023: Earthquakes of unprecedented severity and magnitude have left huge faults in the earth's crust in the Turkish provinces of Kahramanmaras and Hatay.

These deep faults in the earth's crust have divided the lives of local residents into "BEFORE" and "AFTER”. None of them will live again. Because the pain of loss has settled in the hearts of many thousands of people.

FEBRUARY 6-13, 2023.

🆘 TURKEY and SYRIA: A week after the tragedy, some 38,000 people are reported dead in both countries. More than 80,000 more have been injured and wounded in various degrees.

These numbers are increasing by the day and are expected to increase several times.

According to Turkish authorities, more than 7,500 buildings in the affected areas were destroyed and more than 12,500 more became uninhabitable. This means that hundreds of thousands of people were left without a roof over their heads.

⛑️ More than 90 countries and dozens of international organizations offered their help to TURKEY. And in those places where rescuers could not arrive in time, people were working on the rubble with their bare hands to get to the survivors. And the whole world cheered as it was reported that another priceless human life had been saved.

🆘 While Turkey, which had the support of the international community almost immediately, neighboring SYRIA had to cope almost single-handedly in the early days. The people's misfortune did not make them at least temporarily put aside their political differences and provide the necessary assistance to the victims. And this despite the fact that every minute of delay cost someone's life.

⚠️ The earthquakes in Turkey and Syria showed the blatant unpreparedness of our society for large-scale disasters: we have no forecasting systems that would make it possible to evacuate people in advance; we have no coordinated single rescue service for all states, which could respond immediately and use modern technology for rescue.

🚨 The great disaster has also exposed many of the pain points of the modern world order. In the consumer format of society, even human grief becomes an excuse for profit. From the very first hours after the earthquakes, the police had to confront the looters. Some of them were heavily armed.

❓ So let us honestly ask ourselves: do we want to live in a world where we can be a victim at any time of

of climate catastrophe as well as of human greed and cruelty?

In a world where double standards are the norm? .....

And what awaits mankind next, given the escalation of climate disasters, their strength and number?

How can we save our lives and save the planet from total destruction?
