Creative Society at “Earth Day – Day of Happiness” Event at the United Nations Vienna Office

Creative Society participants visited the “Earth Day – Day of Happiness” event at the United Nations Vienna International Centre (VIC), commemorating the Spring Equinox and promoting global sustainability, cultural traditions, and well-being.

The event brought together experts, activists, and changemakers to address key questions:

  • How can we better protect our planet?
  • How do cultural traditions foster global unity?
  • What role does each individual play in building a sustainable future?

As part of our Creative Society initiative, we engaged in meaningful discussions, sharing key findings from the climate report and raised the topic of the global increase in natural disasters. We explored pressing environmental challenges, exchanged ideas with participants, and emphasized the need for collaborative action to safeguard the planet.

🌏 The event underscored the importance of global cooperation in shaping a peaceful, harmonious, and ecologically balanced world. By uniting across cultures and disciplines, we can create a future that respects both humanity and nature.

The event featured:

✅ Opening remarks by Mr. Peter Haider, Chair of the NGO Committee on Peace – Vienna

✅ Panel discussions with leading experts on environmental sustainability, cultural heritage, and happiness, including:

  • Dr. Peter Weish, human ecologist and peace activist (Earth Day)
  • Ms. Mina Amighi, representative of the Zoroastrian community (Nou Rouz)
  • Univ.-Prof. Mag. Dr. Hermann Mückler, cultural anthropologist (Day of Happiness)

✅ The symbolic ringing of the Peace Bell at the exact moment of the Spring Equinox

✅ Musical performances by the choir “Musica Viva”
