It is great to recognize that every day the Creative Society Project reaches more and more countries, and more and more people are becoming aware of it and joining. Moreover, the project has brought to light deep social problems of the global level, such as increasing violence and slavery, discrimination, and inhumane living conditions for migrants. Participants of the Creative Society continue to cover these complex issues around the world in a realistic and informative way.
On December 18, 1990, the UN Assembly approved the International Convention on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of their Families. In 2000, in honor of the tenth anniversary of the signing of the convention, as well as to draw public attention to the issues of migration, protection and support of migrants, the UN decided to mark this date with a holiday - International Migrants Day. Since then, Migrants Day has annually been celebrated in many countries.
This year, the administration of the Italian city of Milan organized an event to celebrate this holiday. Journalists from the Creative Society channel were also invited to the event, and as a pleasant surprise, the Creative Society project got the International Integration Award. This honorary prize is significant for all participants from 180 countries around the world who are actively acting for the unification of humanity.
Special thanks from the Creative Society group to Héctor Villanueva for organizing the event devoted to the Migrants Day in Milan. It showed once again that there really are no boundaries or divisions between people. Regardless of our social status, nationality or religion, we are all humans and we are ready to help each other. This event is extremely inspiring and proves once again that we are on the right track.
